Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II has issued a directive to the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He made a bold call to the Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia during a courtesy call on the Bono Regional House of Chiefs of which he is the president.
He urges the party to break away from the customary practice of selecting its running mate exclusively from one region and instead consider candidates from either the Bono or Bono East Region.
Dormaahene issued a warning, hinting at potential consequences if his plea goes unheeded. He suggested that failure to consider his proposal could lead to dissent among constituents, who may withhold their support.
He empahsized that his people will not vote for NPP if the flagbearer is not chosen from amongst them.
Moreover, Dormaahene did not shy away from mentioning specific individuals whom he deems suitable for the role.
