Asantehene offers words of wisdom to Dr. Bawumia

In a meeting at the Manhyia Palace, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, imparted valuable advice to Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 Flagbearer.

His Majesty urged Dr. Bawumia to remain humble and effectively communicate his vision to win the trust of Ghanaians.

“All Ghana is seeking is development,” the Asantehene emphasized.

He acknowledged the approaching end of President Akufo-Addo’s tenure and encouraged Dr. Bawumia to prove himself as a worthy successor.

“It’s now time to prove the reason he chose you as his Vice; that trust he had that you could help him and that trust that he could train you to take over one day.”

The Asantehene’s guidance emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s readiness to lead, saying, “If by God’s grace, Ghanaians give you the mandate, I know you can do it well.” He assured Dr. Bawumia of his constant prayers, signaling his support for the Vice President’s candidacy.

Make a strong case for your vision to Ghanaians. You’re still the same. You have been modest and you must stay that way. You must show Ghanaians respect and clearly communicate your vision to them. I know you can do it well if Ghanaians, by God’s grace, give you the assignment.

Vice President Bawumia is on a regional campaign tour in the Ashanti Region with some party executives and government officials. He seeks to become the next president of Ghana on the ticket of the NPP by winning the 2024 general elections.
