Blakk Rasta has slammed Kennedy Agyapong for endorsing Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, calling it a misguided move that could harm Agyapong’s political future. Rasta expressed disappointment and bafflement, recalling Agyapong’s previous assurance that he would not support Bawumia due to unresolved issues.
Rasta criticized Agyapong’s decision, stating that it could have adverse repercussions for his political career. He also questioned what had changed for Agyapong to go back on his word, expressing disappointment and disillusionment with Agyapong’s choice.
On the UrbanBlend show on 3FM monitored by News & Vibes, Rasta called Agyapong’s move “misguided” and labeled him a “liar” and “joker.” He emphasized that Agyapong’s political career was being harmed by his own actions.
It must also be noted that some believe Agyapong rallying behind Bawumia is a sign of unity in the party.
Ken was at the Manhyia Palace together with other government officials and party executives when the Vice President paid a courtesy visit to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II yesterday.
Bawumia is in Ashanti Region as part of his regional campaign tour.
In November 2023, Kennedy Agyapong’s bid for the NPP presidential primary ended in defeat, with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia emerging victorious.
Agyapong’s longstanding ambition to become the party’s flagbearer remains unfulfilled, as he has yet to secure the support of key party leaders. While his grassroots campaign efforts are notable, they failed to gain traction with the majority of party members, hindering his progress.
Despite this defeat, Agyapong remains a prominent figure within the NPP, with a significant history of contributions to the party’s growth and development.
