Yaw Sarpong's wife claims she was divorced without her knowledge
In a shocking revelation, Adwoa, the wife of renowned gospel musician Yaw Sarpong, has come forward with allegations that she was divorced from her husband without her knowledge or consent. Adwoa made this claim during an interview on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM’s popular radio show, Oyerepa Afutuo, hosted by Auntie Naa monitored by News & Vibes.
According to Adwoa, she has been married to Yaw Sarpong for forty years and has been denied access to her husband since he fell ill. She accused Tiwaa, Yaw Sarpong’s female vocalist, of taking her husband away from her and claimed that Tiwaa has become Yaw Sarpong’s concubine.
Adwoa also alleged that Yaw Sarpong’s family has mistreated her and accused her of squandering her husband’s money. She claimed that she suggested using part of the GH¢100,000 donated by Vice President Dr. Bawumia for Yaw Sarpong’s medical care to complete their unfinished housing project, but the family refused.
Adwoa’s most shocking revelation, however, was that she was told she had been divorced from Yaw Sarpong without her knowledge or consent. She stated that she is still married to him under customary law and is seeking an amicable settlement.
This development comes as a surprise to many fans of Yaw Sarpong, who has been battling a stroke for over a year. The allegations have sparked concerns about the welfare of the gospel musician and the truth behind his family’s actions.
