Ghanaian gospel musician Edward Akwasi Boateng has made a shocking accusation against popular relationship counselor Aunty Naa, alleging that her approach to addressing marital issues is actually destroying marriages rather than saving them.
In a candid interview, Boateng claimed that Aunty Naa’s bias towards women and her confrontational method of counseling are causing more harm than good to marriages.
He asserted that her approach often pits wives against their husbands, leading to further conflict and ultimately, divorce.
Boateng’s accusations have sparked a heated debate in the Ghanaian music and relationship counseling communities, with some defending Aunty Naa’s methods and others supporting Boateng’s concerns.
The gospel musician’s comments have also raised questions about the role of counselors in addressing marital issues and the importance of balance and objectivity in their approach.
Aunty Naa has yet to respond to Boateng’s accusations, but the controversy is sure to continue to spark conversation and debate in the days to come.
Aunty Naa is a radio show host of Oyerepa Afutuo aired on Oyerepa FM. The show is a social issue peogramme where people who mostly claim can’t afford legal services are allowed to say their problems on the show for solutions.
Last year, Aunty Naa was warned by the National Media Commission to stop coercing people involved in some of the issues to speak on the show.
