Wunmi Aloba, the widow of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has opened up about the deep pain she feels following his death. In an emotional interview, she addressed widespread misconceptions, including allegations that Mohbad was a drug addict, and shared intimate details about their life together.
Wunmi described Mohbad as a responsible husband and a devoted son, firmly rejecting claims about substance abuse.
She revealed that Mohbad had ambitious plans for their son, Liam, including hopes of relocating him abroad for a brighter future. Despite the trauma she still endures, Wunmi remains committed to honouring her late husband’s dreams.
She disclosed that her mother-in-law continues to play a supportive role, encouraging her to ensure that Liam grows up knowing who his father was.

Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, died on 12 September 2023 at the age of 27 under controversial circumstances. His untimely death sparked nationwide outrage and prompted ongoing investigations.
