Ghanaians Have Buried Me 9 Times - Mama Esther
Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician Mama Esther has called on Ghanaians to put an end to the growing habit of spreading misinformation.
In a self-recorded video shared on her official social media platforms on March 6, coinciding with Ghana’s 68th Independence Day celebration, the veteran singer expressed concern over how quickly false news circulates without verification.
She questioned why some individuals seem compelled to share unverified information, describing the situation as alarming.
Reflecting on her personal experience, she recounted instances where rumors of her death had spread multiple times, even when she was alive and going about her usual activities.
The gospel musician emphasized the need for Ghanaians to fact-check information before sharing it on social media. She stressed that the rapid spread of misinformation creates unnecessary panic and urged the public to be more responsible when consuming and distributing news.
