Woman Who Claimed 'Divine Blessing' of a Duplex at Church Now Facing Legal Action
Loveth Helen Alo, the woman who fabricated a story about owning a five-bedroom duplex, has been charged in the Enugu North Magisterial District Court.
The charges stem from her false testimony at Zion Ministry.
According to a statement issued by SP Daniel Ndukwe, the public relations officer of the Enugu State Police Command, Alo was arrested on February 1, 2025. The arrest followed a petition that accused her of lying about owning a duplex in WTC Estate, Enugu.
Alo had made headlines when she appeared at the Zion Prayer Ministry Movement Outreach in Lagos, claiming that a divine blessing had granted her a luxury home. However, after questioning, she admitted that the story was untrue and confessed to fabricating the claim on her own.
The woman is facing five charges, including fraud, defamation, and attempted property theft. She was granted bail, and her case will be heard again on April 9, 2025.
