A massive fire outbreak has gutted three girls’ dormitories at Labone Senior High School in Accra, causing extensive damage to student accommodations.
The fire erupted while students were attending afternoon prep, affecting half of the school’s six dormitories. One dormitory was completely destroyed, while two others suffered partial damage.
Emergency services, including the Ghana National Fire Service, swiftly responded to the scene and worked diligently to contain the flames. Investigations are currently underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
Fortunately, no casualties were recorded. Affected students have been temporarily relocated to the school’s assembly hall as authorities assess the situation.
