BoG Clarifies MTN Ghana’s Lack of Cross-Border Deal with Nigeria

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has officially addressed misleading reports that MTN Ghana had been authorized to carry out cross-border transactions with MTN Nigeria.

In a statement released recently, the central bank set the record straight and emphasized that these claims were untrue.

According to BoG, no license has been granted to MTN Ghana to engage in cross-border financial activities with MTN Nigeria.
