Former President Nana Akufo-Addo has urged the five presidential aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to maintain unity and avoid internal conflicts as they contest for the party’s flagbearership.

Speaking at an event, Akufo-Addo emphasized the importance of unity, quoting the biblical phrase, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”

“A house divided against itself cannot stand. If we are divided, we will fall, and our opponents will rejoice,” Akufo-Addo warned, appealing to the aspirants to prioritize the party’s interests above individual ambitions.

The former president’s remarks come amid heightened tensions within the party as the aspirants campaign for the January 31 primaries.
