Ghanaian media personality and current host of Okay FM’s drive-time show, Nana Romeo, has waded into the ongoing controversy surrounding musician King Paluta following his widely condemned altercation with a female fan during his UK performance.

Speaking in an interview with Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, Nana Romeo did not mince words as he shared his frustration over how King Paluta has chosen to handle the backlash, particularly his refusal to offer an unqualified apology.

According to Nana Romeo, it is not just the initial outburst at the UK event that has angered many industry players, but rather King Paluta’s decision to remain headstrong and unapologetic despite the public outcry.

He alleged that a lot of radio presenters across the country have vowed not to support King Paluta again if he continues on this path.

Nana Romeo explained that the musician’s posture over the issue is what is irritating many radio presenters, including some of his own people in Kumasi, mentioning DJ Slim as one of those unhappy with the situation.

He stressed that the growing dissatisfaction within media circles could negatively affect the artiste’s airplay and industry support going forward and cited his latest song featuring Kwabena Kwabena as an example.

Making his point clearer, Nana Romeo also noted that as humans, everyone is bound to make mistakes, but doing the right thing by apologizing is never a bad thing. He expressed disappointment that King Paluta appears to be stubborn over an issue that could have been resolved easily with humility.

He further referenced artistes like Shatta Wale, whom King Paluta sees as his godfather, pointing out that even Shatta Wale apologizes when he believes he has gone wrong. Nana Romeo argued that this shows maturity and growth, something King Paluta must learn to embrace.

In his closing remarks, Nana Romeo urged King Paluta to find time to record a proper apology video to everyone who was offended by his actions, especially the lady he insulted during the UK performance.

He added that it would be even more admirable if the musician made time to personally apologise to the woman whenever he finds himself in the UK again.
