Firefighters from the Trade Fair Fire Station on Friday night, December 19, successfully brought under control a fully developed fire that engulfed wooden structures at La Olympia Abafum in Accra.

The Ghana National Fire Service said it received a distress call at about 7:28 pm, prompting a swift response by a crew led by ADO I Matthew Y. Quaye. Despite challenges with accessibility to the affected area, firefighters managed to contain the blaze at 8:07 pm and completely extinguished it by 8:51 pm.

To reinforce the operation, two additional fire engines from the Military Fire Unit and the Parliament Fire Station were deployed to support firefighting efforts.
