The police have arrested two adult males for the forceful sexual intercourse between two minors in a viral video.
The suspects have been identified as 52-year-old Edward Azalekor, the Assemblyman for Effiakuma West Electoral Area and 35-year-old Martin Amuzu, an uncle to the female victim.
They were arrested on February 26, 2026, after a radio presenter forwarded the disturbing video to the police.
They were arraigned on February 27 by the Harbour District Court at Takoradi and granted bail in the sum of GHC 20,000.00 each.
They are expected to reappear in court on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
The female victim is currently in the custody of the Department of Social Welfare, while the police say investigations are ongoing to arrest suspect Isaac Nana Osei, who filmed the act.
Incident
Police investigation revealed that the female victim returned home late on February 16 after leaving home in the afternoon without informing her mother.
“Her mother became annoyed and informed suspect Edward Azalekor, Assemblyman for Effiakuma West Electoral Area, to discipline her. The suspects then lured the teenage boy to the scene and forced him to have sexual intercourse with the girl for them to see.”
