Frank Aduse Poku, the former district chief executive (DCE) of Asunafo South, has voiced his displeasure with the current National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration’s emphasis on the welfare of the nation’s farmers, particularly those who grow cocoa. He criticized its leadership, claiming that despite the administration’s promise to give cocoa farmers’ needs top priority in its attempt to regain power in 2024, it was taking them for granted.According to Mr. Poku, the NDC lied to cocoa farmers in order to win their support during its campaign for the general elections in 2024, which helped it win by a landslide. However, the NDC has since broken the promises it made to these farmers. “The New Patriotic Party (NPP), led by Akufo-Addo, is being stingy because he is taking cocoa farmers for granted,” the NDC informed Ghanaians prior to the 2024 elections, promising to make sure
