Although the Spain-based forward did not score in Wednesday’s semi-final victory over Nigeria, Díaz remained top of the scoring charts with five goals.

The Real Madrid winger has netted five times in six matches—a remarkable return that underlines his growing influence at the tournament.

Díaz will have another opportunity to add to his tally in Sunday’s final against Senegal.

Having stolen the spotlight throughout the competition, Díaz has maintained a scoring consistency unmatched by any other player at the finals, emerging as the tournament’s most reliable attacking threat.

Behind him, the chase remains tight, with Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah both on four goals.

A further group of five players are level on three goals: Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman, Côte d’Ivoire winger Amad Diallo, Algeria captain Riyad Mahrez, Morocco striker Ayoub El Kaabi and Mali forward Lassine Sinayoko.

With the final still to be played, members of the chasing pack will be hoping to close the gap.

Further down the list, several players are tied on two goals each, representing a wide spread of nations, both still competing and recently eliminated.
