Former MCE for Effutu, Alhaji Zubairu Kasim did the comissioning on behalf of the Minority Leader
The Minority Leader of Parliament and Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, has commissioned a fully equipped dental care unit at the Dr Apetorgbor Dzodzegbe Health Centre at Ateitu in the Kojo Beedu North Electoral Area of the Effutu Municipality.
The commissioning ceremony was conducted on his behalf by the former Municipal Chief Executive for Effutu, Alhaji Zubairu Kasim. He noted that this intervention by the MP will significantly improve healthcare delivery in the area.
He further stated that the facility’s pharmacy has been stocked with essential medicines expected to support healthcare delivery for about two years. In addition to the dental unit, he urged residents to make full use of the facility to promote good health. He also advised the doctors and nurses to ensure proper maintenance of the equipment and infrastructure.
The Physician Assistant at the Dr Apetorgbor Dzodzegbe Health Centre, Wendy Pomaa Gyimah, expressed her appreciation to the Honourable Member for his swift response to their request. According to her, the facility began operations three weeks ago and has already recorded encouraging patronage.
She also disclosed that Hon. Afenyo-Markin has promised to provide a large polytank to help address potential water challenges at the facility.
The Assembly Member for the Kojo Beedu North Electoral Area, Hon. Patricia Russel also expressed gratitude to the MP for his support and urged residents to visit the health centre whenever they require medical attention.
