Three Nigerian men are currently under police custody after surreptitiously boarding a cargo ship at Lagos’ Apapa Wharf, thinking it was headed to Spain, according to a report by Ghpage News. The ship carried them to Ghana, where they were eventually found and taken into custody by security personnel, rather than to Europe as they had intended. The guys are identified as 26-year-old Kelvin Popoola, 28-year-old Stephen Nuta, and 32-year-old Isaac Daniel. The three men reportedly entered the ship without authorization while it was parked at the crowded port of Apapa. They intended to remain hidden inside the ship until it reached Spain, where they thought they might begin a better life. Before boarding the ship, the men cautiously dodged security personnel at the port, according to sources.
