Ghana international Andrew Ayew says he has no plans of retiring soon as long as his body continues to deliver.

The 36-year-old recently joined Dutch side NAC Breda after being a free agent for the first half of the 2025/26 season.

Prior to moving to the Netherlands, Ayew had played for Le Havre in the 2024/25 campaign where he recorded four goals and one assist in 27 appearances in Ligue 1.

While he continues to make strides in club football, the forward has not played for national team since returning from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.

Ayew, quizzed on his retirement plans in an interview with ESPN, said, “I never thought about it because my body is good. I feel good, I live my life day to day so I prepare myself every time to have a better tomorrow on the field and off the field.

“I don’t think about that. When the moment comes, your body will tell you (to retire).”

Ayew has started one out of the six games he has played since signing for NAC Breda in January.
