Popular Ghanaian actress and television presenter Nana Ama McBrown has opened up about her experience with marriage following her recent divorce from her husband, Maxwell Mensah.
Speaking on TV3, McBrown reflected on the challenges of long-term marriage, saying, “I have been married for 12 years. When you see celebrities who have been married for 12 years, applaud them.”
She described marriage as a difficult journey and revealed that if she were to be a young woman again, she would choose not to marry, though she would still have children and live a peaceful life.
Despite the end of her marriage, the actress noted that she maintains a cordial relationship with her ex-husband.
“Although we are divorced, my ex-husband, Maxwell Mensah, still manages me,” she disclosed, emphasizing the amicable nature of their separation.
McBrown’s comments come after her public announcement of the divorce, which she described as mutual and without bitterness. She added that both she and Mensah were exhausted and decided to part ways peacefully, prioritizing friendship and mutual respect.
