The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Akuffo-Addo, reportedly attacked his master following a heated disagreement over GH¢300 earned from the sale of locally brewed alcohol. Sources say the victim had explained that the money was still owed by customers who had taken the drinks on credit for a funeral, but tensions escalated when the apprentice insisted on immediate payment.

Attempts to resolve the matter through community elders reportedly failed. On Tuesday, the situation took a deadly turn when the apprentice allegedly assaulted the elderly man with a log before using a cutlass to slash his throat.
