Arise Ghana is threatening to stage a protest to urge President John Dramani Mahama and his government to take all necessary steps to bring Ken Ofori-Atta back to Ghana to face trial and potential prosecution if found guilty.
The group also called on the President to conduct a thorough assessment of his appointees and consider reshuffling or removing those who are underperforming.
Speaking at a press conference, Listowel Nana Poku, convener of the group, said they supported President Mahama’s campaign and expect him to ensure that everything is done properly and that his government performs effectively.
The group emphasized the importance of holding appointees accountable, particularly those involved in corruption.
Arise Ghana also appealed to President Mahama to prosecute any appointees found guilty of corruption and encouraged Ghanaians to report any instances of corruption by government officials. “See something, say something,” the group urged.
