Essential service providers—including the Electricity Company of Ghana, Ghana Water Company, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Ambulance Service, and the Ghana Health Service—are permitted to carry out their duties unhindered throughout the day and night.
Meanwhile, schools and markets will remain closed to allow smooth progression of the burial ceremonies. Daytime exemptions also extend to banks, pharmaceutical outlets, fuel stations, restaurants, and transport operators.
The directive, issued by Acting Chief of Staff Nana Effah Appenteng on September 15, ensures that essential services continue while the burial rites proceed without disruption, reflecting careful planning by Manhyia Palace.
