Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III Passes On

A night curfew will be enforced on September 18, 2025, during Nana Konadu Yiadom III’s burial to ensure safety.

  • Traditional executioners are deployed to lead the procession and manage the powerful rituals.
  • Concerns that curfew violators might be executed have been clarified as false; the measure is purely for public protection.
  • The executioners may become spiritually possessed during the rites, posing accidental risk, which the curfew helps mitigate.
  • Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has instructed the executioners to exercise restraint to maintain an incident-free burial.
  • Burial activities span September 15–18, with sequential filing past of dignitaries and the public; the final burial takes place at Breman Baamu at 3 pm.
  • Outdoor movement will be restricted from 9 pm on the last day to facilitate the ceremony safely.

Ahead of the burial of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, the late Asantehemaa, a night curfew has been set for September 18, 2025, to maintain order and ensure the safety of all attendees.

Traditional executioners have been assigned to lead the burial procession, a role that comes with intense spiritual responsibility during the powerful rites.

Clarifying rumors surrounding the curfew, the Asantehene’s linguist emphasized that anyone violating the movement restrictions will not be executed.

The curfew is strictly a precautionary measure to prevent accidents, as the executioners, under ritual influence, might unintentionally harm anyone who crosses their path.

The burial rites, running from September 15 to 18, include orderly filing past of dignitaries and the general public.

The final day features the interment of Her Majesty at Breman Baamu, with outdoor movement restricted from 7 pm to ensure the ceremony proceeds safely and without incident.
