The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Mahama Naser Toure, has died after a period of illness. He passed away at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
Mr. Toure was a fourth-term Member of Parliament and served in several important roles in Parliament. He was the Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee and also a member of the Roads and Transport Committee, the House Committee, and the Private Members’ Bills and Motions Committee.
According to Citinews, the Second Deputy Majority Whip, Richard Acheampong, said the late MP would be laid to rest today in line with Muslim tradition.
He explained that the burial will take place at Mr. Toure’s residence in Nima, Accra.
