According to Modi, over ten years ago, Daddy Lumba fell seriously ill, requiring specialized medication that wasn’t available in Ghana. Eager to help, Modi stepped in and purchased the necessary medication while she was in the U.S.

Daddy Lumba, meanwhile, has shared in past interviews that he spent years bedridden due to his illness, a time when he felt isolated despite his fame. This revelation has drawn attention to how people in the music industry, despite their public personas, can still experience emotional isolation and neglect.
