Ghanaian trapper Baba Tundey has officially unveiled his debut EP, Lessons Written In Melodies, a seven-track body of work that fuses rap and hip-hop with deeply personal storytelling.
Now available across major streaming platforms, the project arrives on the back of viral hits such as Anastasia, Last Born, and Crossroad, which have propelled him into the spotlight and cemented his status as one of the country’s most promising rap talents.
The EP features seven tracks — Dear God, No Stress, Street Is My Father, Silent Battles, Trust Nobody, Lambo Key, and Chairman.
All songs were penned by Baba Tundey, born David Tofik, and produced by ATOWN TSB, whose soundscape delivers a cohesive and energetic feel throughout the project.
Executive producer and A&R from RuffTown Records, Ricky Nana Agyeman, also played a key role in shaping the EP, ensuring each track resonates while preserving the artist’s authentic voice.
Lessons Written In Melodies is rooted in Baba Tundey’s lived experiences. Reflecting on the project, he shares: “I’ve learned a lot about life, love, and myself, and I realized sometimes words are not enough… so I let the melodies speak.
Every track carries a message—something I’ve learned that someone out there can relate to.” The EP explores themes of resilience, street life, trust, and personal growth, offering listeners an intimate window into his journey.
Standout tracks include Lambo Key and Trust Nobody, which the artist cites as personal favourites. Meanwhile, songs like Silent Battles and Street Is My Father highlight his ability to merge raw, streetwise narratives with introspective depth—striking a balance between grit and vulnerability.
With this release, Baba Tundey reinforces his place in Ghana’s rap and hip-hop landscape. Lessons Written In Melodies not only builds on the momentum of his viral singles but also marks a defining moment in his evolution—presenting a cohesive project that listeners can return to, where every melody tells a story and every story reflects growth.
