The late Nana Adu Ameyaw II was the Effiduasehene
The Effiduase Traditional Council has placed a ban on noise-making and public gatherings in all communities that fall within its jurisdiction.
This, according to a statement, is on the back of the death of the Effiduasehene Nana Adu Ameyaw.
The statement said that the ban is in line with the arrangements for the funeral activities, and also as a sign of mourning their late Paramount Chief, Nana Adu Ameyaw II.
According to the Kontihene of Asante Effiduase, Nana Baffour Nimfour Agyare, a book of condolences will be open for the general public from Tuesday, January 13 to Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Arrangements have also been made for the greeting of the queen mother at the Effiduase Palace from 8:00 AM, the statement added.
The Paramount Chief of Effiduase Amanfo in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region, Nana Adu Ameyaw II, one of the prominent chiefs of Asanteman’s death was announced on January 9, 2026.
The death of Nana Adu Ameyaw II was announced to the people of Effiduase and Asante Mampongman by Mamponghemaa, Nana Agyakomaa Difie II.
Addressing traditional leaders in Effiduase and Asante Mampongman, Nana Agyakomaa Difie II said that the Effiduasehene had been sick for a while and was seeing some specialists for treatment.
He eventually succumbed to his illness despite the efforts of his doctors.
Nana Adu Ameyaw II was enstooled in 1991.
The Effiduasehene is a sub-chief of the Mamponghene and serves as Nifahene (right flank leader) of the Mampong Traditional Council.
The Mamponghemaa, Nana Agyakomaa Difie II, formally informed the people of Effiduase and Mampongman of the passing of the Effiduasehene, Nana Adu Ameyaw II.
