Popular Ghanaian media personality Andy Dosty has disclosed that Shatta Wale had intentions to sign rapper King Paluta to his record label before the latter gained major recognition in the Ghanaian music scene.
While speaking on the Asetena Pa Podcast hosted by Akoto Mansa, Andy Dosty shared that Shatta Wale’s interest in King Paluta was sparked following their collaboration on the 2020 hit song “Ahodwo Las Vegas.”
At that time, King Paluta was still an emerging talent.
However, his remarkable performance on the track left a significant impression on Shatta Wale.
Dosty revealed that he was involved in discussions with Shatta Wale about how best to support and develop King Paluta’s career, including the financial commitments required for such an endeavor.
He recalled spending a significant amount of time strategizing with Shatta Wale about Paluta’s future.
Despite King Paluta being unaware of these behind-the-scenes talks, Andy Dosty’s efforts eventually led to a collaboration between the two artists on the song “Adiepena.” Today,
King Paluta has become one of Ghana’s leading musicians, known for his unique rap style and impressive lyrical ability. He has continued to release hits and captivate audiences with his high-energy performances.
Now firmly established in the industry, King Paluta is considered one of the top contenders for the coveted Artiste of the Year title at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards scheduled for May 3, 2025.
