Belgian-born Ghanaian midfielder Elton Yeboah has completed a move to Belgian Challenger Pro League side Lierse SK from Jupiler Pro League outfit KV Mechelen on a two-and-a-half-year deal, the club has confirmed.

The former KRC Genk youth product joins the Yellow-Black after struggling to secure a regular first-team place at KV Mechelen since being promoted from the youth ranks to the senior squad in 2024.

With limited game time this season, the highly rated Ghana-eligible midfielder has now completed a permanent move to Lierse SK and will begin a new chapter in the Belgian second tier for the remainder of the current campaign.

Confirming the transfer on its official website, the AsterX Group-f Arena outfit stated:
“Just before the winter transfer window closes, Lierse can complete a fourth incoming transfer. Elton Yeboah (20) will join our ranks. The Antwerp-born midfielder signed a contract until 2028 and joins from KV Mechelen.”

Yeboah progressed through the youth systems of Beerschot, KRC Genk and KV Mechelen. In 2024, he signed his first professional contract with Mechelen, where he became a regular in midfield for Jong KV before sealing his move to Lierse.

Lierse SK closed the winter transfer window with four incoming signings—Stanic, Boncina, Willems and Yeboah—and three departures, with De Kerf, Asare and Adinany exiting the club.

Born in Borgerhout and eligible through his Ghanaian heritage, Yeboah remains available for selection by Ghana at international level.
