The Black Princesses are deep in preparation for their upcoming clash against Tunisia in the second-round qualifier for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup. Training at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Head Coach Charles Sampson says the team is sharpening its tactical edge despite a few absences in camp.

Five players are currently unavailable — three with the Police team and two yet to report — but Sampson remains optimistic. The available squad has shown strong cooperation, and the technical team has been gradually building momentum.

To boost pace and physicality, the Princesses recently played against a boys’ team, a move Sampson says delivered exactly the intensity needed ahead of Tunisia. The coaching staff has also studied Tunisia’s matches and crafted multiple game scenarios to prepare the players mentally and tactically.

New arrival Sanai Sereboe is still settling in, and the team is working to integrate her smoothly. Sampson emphasized that the squad is developing a clear identity — one built on aggressive, offensive football that allows Ghana to dictate the tempo.

The Princesses will travel to Tunis for the first leg on September 20, followed by the return fixture in Accra on September 28. With World Cup qualification as the ultimate goal, the team is taking it one match at a time, focused and determined to deliver results.
