Blakk Rasta Urges Ghanaian Artistes to Rethink Branding Strategies

Published:

Ghanaian musician and media personality Blakk Rasta has criticised local artistes for what he describes as ineffective branding strategies that hinder their chances of gaining international acclaim. According to him, many artistes focus on flaunting wealth instead of making meaningful investments in their careers.

Blakk Rasta pointed out that international recognition requires more than luxury possessions. Instead of prioritising expensive cars and houses, he believes artistes should channel resources into developing their craft and stage presence. He argued that such investments would strengthen their appeal beyond local audiences and open doors to global opportunities.

To illustrate his point, Blakk Rasta cited gospel musician Sonnie Badu’s successful concerts, especially in the UK. He noted that Sonnie Badu invests heavily in his shows by assembling large teams and delivering top-notch performances, even if it means incurring losses. Blakk Rasta believes this approach reinforces a strong brand image, making the artiste more appealing to international audiences.
