The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has warned prospective applicants in its ongoing recruitment exercise that certain physical features could lead to automatic disqualification.
Speaking to Adom News, Director of Public Relations Maud Anima Quainoo stated that applicants with bleached skin, multiple body piercings, or visible tattoos will not be considered for recruitment.
She explained that these requirements are part of the Service’s standards and urged applicants to strictly adhere to the guidelines to avoid disappointment during the screening process.
Madam Quainoo also cautioned applicants against paying money to middlemen promising recruitment slots, stressing that such arrangements are ineffective.
According to her, the recruitment process is transparent and based solely on merit. She advised applicants to rely only on official GIS information and to report anyone attempting to extort money under the pretext of facilitating recruitment.
