The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Asiama, appeared before the Public Accounts Committee in Parliament on Monday, January 12, 2026.

This is the first meeting of the committee in 2026.

The Governor is expected to answer questions on the Bank’s operations for the 2025 fiscal year. He is also expected to brief the committee on reports concerning the Bank’s alleged losses, as well as its activities within the Ghana Gold Board and Ghana’s foreign exchange market in 2025.

The committee is chaired by Abena Osei-Asare, alongside her members.

The mandate of the committee is to examine audited accounts showing the appropriation of funds granted by Parliament to meet the government’s public expenditure.
