After facing backlash for claiming that popular Ghanaian blogger Kwadwo Sheldon had secretly tied the knot in the United States, Bongo Ideas has returned with yet another message—and this time, he’s shifting the blame.
Following an earlier apology that failed to mend fences with Sheldon, Bongo made a fresh post attempting to justify his actions. In the new statement, he claimed that he merely passed on information given to him by an unnamed source, insisting he was just a “messenger” doing his job as a blogger.
Bongo argued that although he now questions the accuracy of the claim, he still suspects there’s a trace of truth behind the secret marriage story. According to him, he was instructed to make the initial post, and as a blogger, he felt compelled to expose what he called “hidden details” to the public.
Rather than fully retracting his original claims, Bongo hinted at more revelations to come. He urged Ghanaians to stay tuned for what he described as the “full story,” and even extended sarcastic congratulations to Sheldon on his alleged marriage.
Meanwhile, Kwadwo Sheldon has dismissed the apology and hinted that the issue is beyond online drama. He disclosed that he has already taken legal action against Bongo Ideas for the defamatory post.
