A six-year-old boy has died after falling into an uncovered water storage tank at Kasoa Wallantu in the Central Region.
The incident is said to have occurred on December 29, 2025, while attempting to retrieve a ball which had fallen into the tank.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) recovered the remains of the boy identified as Godfred Aboagye and handed them over to the Police for preservation and further investigation.
The Service has since encouraged households to secure all storage facilities to avert tragedies.
“GNFS urges parents, guardians, and property owners to secure all water storage facilities and report emergencies via 112 / 0201500360 / 0302772446 for swift response.”
