The brother of Pinamang, the Adventist student who was tragically shot by a schoolmate, has come forward to set the record straight regarding financial assistance from the Member of Parliament for Bantama, Hon. Asenso Boakye.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, he revealed that contrary to public belief, the MP did not fully cover the cost of his sister’s medical treatment.
He acknowledged that the MP visited Pinamang in the hospital shortly after the incident and settled the hospital bills incurred on that particular day.
However, he clarified that after making that payment, Hon. Asenso Boakye informed the family that he would not be able to handle all of the ongoing medical expenses.
Instead, the MP offered limited assistance, mentioning that he could only support with a travel ticket.
This revelation comes in the wake of widespread assumptions on social media that the MP had taken full financial responsibility for Pinamang’s healthcare needs.
The brother’s clarification sheds light on the actual extent of support received from the politician.
