The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has notified public sector employees of a temporary interruption in accessing their electronic payslips while key payroll platforms undergo an upgrade.
In a notice shared on its official Facebook page, the CAGD explained that updates to the Electronic Salary Payment Voucher (ESPV) and E-Payslip systems have temporarily prevented some government employees from viewing or downloading their payslips.
The department stated that the upgrade aims to improve the overall efficiency, security, and reliability of public sector payroll services. Although essential for long-term system improvement, the process has resulted in limited access for certain users in the short term.
CAGD assured affected staff that technical teams are working to complete the upgrade and restore full functionality as soon as possible. Once finished, the updated platforms are expected to provide a smoother and more reliable experience for all public sector workers.
Apologizing for any inconvenience, the CAGD thanked employees for their patience and cooperation during the transition. It stressed that the disruption is temporary and part of broader efforts to enhance payroll management and service delivery.
Employees needing payslips for official or financial purposes are advised to await the full restoration of the systems. Further updates will be provided through the department’s official communication channels.
Reiterating its dedication to transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in payroll administration, the CAGD emphasized that resolving the issue and fully reinstating access to the ESPV and E-Payslip systems is a high priority.
