Captain Smart, a renowned and outspoken media figure, has advised followers of top NPP members to start praying for their safety, as a precaution.
During his show Onua Maakye on Onua TV monitored by News & Vibes, he stated that prominent party members like former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and former Speaker of Parliament Professor Mike Ocquaye could potentially experience health issues that may result in significant hardship or death.
He recommended that those in their inner circle should get ready and offer prayers for them.
His remarks were made during the current situation of the arrest of protestors opposing illegal mining, which has caused dissatisfaction among the people in Ghana.
Captain Smart contended that the government’s approach to these protests, under the leadership of President Nana Akufo-Addo and his officials, has only fueled public discontent.
He cautioned that if the NPP government persists in mistreating citizens, especially the youth, it will result in more unrest and could potentially cause the country to descend into turmoil.
Captain Smart’s recent comments on the current administration are part of a series of critical statements, showing a rising level of frustration among some members of the population regarding issues like illegal mining and public discontent.
