The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says its engineers are working to restore power to parts of Kumasi plunged into darkness.
In a notice, it identified the cause as a fault in an underground cable at the Ridge Bulk Supply Point in Kumasi.
“ECG wishes to assure affected customers that our Engineers are working to rectify the fault and restore supply. ECG regrets the inconvenience caused to the affected customers.”
The affected areas are Kronum, Afrancho, Abusuakruwa, Breman, Adonko company, Anomangye, Parts of Magazine, Mpatasie, Suame, Asokore Mampong, Buoban, Adukrom, Nima, Sisala Line, Affordable Housing, Moshie Zongo and Airport Roundabout.
Also included are Part of Pankrono Estate, Aboabo, Asawase, Part of Zaabo Zongo, Akawatia-Line, Dichemso, Tafo Nhyiaeso, Amakom, Stadium, Anloga, Sisakyi, Alabar, Dr Mensah, Ashtown, Town Hall, Roman Hill, Bompata, Fanti Newtown and Basilica.
The rest are Central Market, Parts of Adum Business Centre, Dagomba line, Oforikrom, STC, Maxima, Bomso Village, Maxima Junction and surrounding areas.
