Internet sensation and budding actor Cheddar the Bell Boy has made it clear he’s uncomfortable with being called “Katawere,” a name many have used to refer to him based on his resemblance to the late Ghanaian actor.
In a recent interview with Akoto Mensah, Cheddar expressed frustration over the comparison. He emphasized that his name is not Katawere and urged the public to respect that distinction.
Cheddar explained that although some fans believe he bears a striking resemblance to the late actor, he prefers to be recognized for his own identity and work.
He further shared that his inspiration to enter the film industry came from Kumawood stars Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin and Akrobeto. Watching their performances, he said, ignited his passion and pushed him toward pursuing a career in acting.
Despite the comparisons, Cheddar is determined to carve his own path and hopes to be known for his unique style and contributions to entertainment.
