MF Production has officially launched Christian Honours, a faith-based platform created to recognise Christian men and women, institutions and organisations whose work has positively shaped Ghana over the past 35 to 40 years.

At the launch, the Executive Director of Christian Honours, Kofi Kpodo, said the initiative was born out of a vision received in 2009 and refined over the years to its present stage.

He explained that the platform is built to celebrate service, impact and integrity, rather than popularity or public hype.

Mr Kpodo said Christian Honours is not an award scheme but a platform of recognition grounded in biblical principles.

He referenced Romans 13:7, which calls on believers to give honour to those who deserve it, noting that the initiative seeks to fulfil that instruction.

According to him, the focus on 35 to 40 years of service is deliberate. He explained that true honour, in the view of the organisers, is reserved for people and institutions that have shown consistency, integrity and measurable impact over a long period of time.

“Christian Honours celebrates enduring reputation and credible contribution,” he said, adding that nominees must show long-standing commitment to Christian values and national development.

Mr Kpodo noted that many pastors, missionaries, educators, creatives and Christian leaders have laboured faithfully for decades without public recognition, despite their influence on lives and communities.

He said the platform exists to intentionally pause and acknowledge such service, including the work of pioneers who have passed on but whose legacies remain strong.

He announced that Christian Honours will be guided by an independent body known as the Independent Panel of Unbiased Review with Ethics and Integrity (I-PURE).

According to him, I-PURE will ensure fairness, transparency and credibility in the selection process, using clear metrics rather than personal interest or popularity. Members of the panel, he said, will be announced later.

Christian Honours is structured around seven main categories, with a total of twelve categories including sub-categories.

Mr Kpodo explained that all categories are assessed based on the platform’s theme, Honouring on the Pillars of Reputation, Recognition, and Integrity.

He said nominees are judged on consistent Christian living, genuine impact and strong moral character.

He expressed gratitude to individuals and organisations that have supported the initiative so far, particularly AH Hotel, for its early support.

Mr Kpodo stated that Christian Honours aims to preserve legacies, celebrate faithfulness and inspire the next generation to serve God and society with purpose and integrity.

The Christian Performing Arts and Special Honours categories each have three sub-categories, covering areas such as gospel music, visual and performing arts, African Christian personalities, religio-political voices, and posthumous recognition.
