Ghanaian blogger who doubles as an online journalist, Rashad has reacted to the closure of Royal Nursing College.

To anyone at sea, Gh Page made a publication on February 20 about over 800 nursing students being left stranded because of the mistake of a CEO.

The Ghana Tertiary Education Council (GTEC) ordered the closure of Royal Nursing College, a nursing school in Tafo, Ashanti Region.

The GTEC’s decision to order the closure of the school came after they visited the school on February 19 to inspect whether things were going well there.

Following their inspection, the GTEC had no option but to order the closure of the school, stating that the decision would help protect the students.

The GTEC made it known to all and sundry that, the school failed to document confirming accreditation from the Nursing and Midwifery Council, adding that, it also ignored a June 2024 directive prohibiting it from admitting new students.

At the moment, over 800 students were left stranded, crying out loud.

Reacting to the story, Rashad took a swipe at both the CEO of the nursing school and GTEC, stating that they are the cause of everything that is happening.

The CEO of Gh Page expressed worry at the fact that even though the nursing students do not have the requisite training that purgates the crudities of their minds, they end up in hospitals.

According to Rashad, since the nursing students lack training, they become a peg in a round hole when they are employed.

He stated that, it is high time Ghama made churning students one of the paradigm shifts.
