Claims that 60% of GAF Applicants Diagnosed with HIV are False- GAF

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has disclaimed reports alleging that about 60% of applicants tested for military medical screening were found to be HIV positive.

In a statement, it described the said publication as fake.

It noted that the medical process is ongoing and the results are yet to be declared.

“Ghana Armed Forces wishes to state categorically that the publication is FAKE NEWS and should be ignored by all.”

It disclosed that efforts are underway to trace the originators of the mischievous story.

It further urged media practitioners, especially content creators and bloggers/vloggers, to be circumspect and cross-check their facts before going public with them.
