Ghanaian comedian and media figure DKB has stirred up serious debate after publicly calling out MTN Ghana over what he believes is a troubling shift in their Turbonet data bundle usage.
In a viral video currently making waves online, the outspoken entertainer expressed disbelief over how quickly his 214GB data package had been consumed, despite minimal streaming and regular browsing habits. DKB, known for blending humour with sharp critique, didn’t hold back as he questioned the telecom company’s practices.
He compared the current situation to an earlier version of the bundle, citing that a 92GB plan he previously purchased lasted as long as six to eight weeks—even with binge-watching series like Squid Game. Strangely, the new 214GB version reportedly lasted just under three weeks, and this time, he claimed to have streamed only two movies during that period.
He expressed shock over what he believes is a discrepancy in how data is now being used up and openly challenged MTN Ghana to provide clarity on the matter.
According to DKB, he made the purchase less than three weeks ago, but was stunned to discover the data depleted far too quickly, despite what he described as limited usage.
So far, MTN Ghana has not officially addressed the growing concerns sparked by the comedian’s experience, but the issue has triggered widespread conversation on social media. Many users are echoing his concerns, calling for transparency and improved data value from Ghana’s telecom providers.
