Controller Pays 2 Outstanding Allowances to Teachers- MoE

The Ministry of Education has confirmed the payment of two outstanding allowances to teachers.

In a statement, the Ministry acknowledged the technical challenges in the final payroll run prevented the payment from being processed last month and confirmed successful payment this month.

“This unforeseen challenge has since been resolved by the CAD, paving the way for the completion of the payments.”

It further apologised to all affected teachers for the delay and any inconvenience it may have caused.

“We deeply appreciate the patience, understanding, and continued dedication of our teachers, whose commitment remains central to the delivery of quality education across Ghana.”

It affirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department and other stakeholders to improve payroll systems and prevent future issues.
