Court Orders Agradaa to Face More Charges Despite Serving 15-Year Jail Term

Convicted evangelist and former fetish priestess, Patricia Asiedua, widely known as Nana Agradaa, is expected to return to court later this month to respond to a separate legal matter involving allegations of distributing explicit content without consent.

The High Court has mandated that she be escorted from Nsawam Prison to appear in person on July 30, 2025, for the continuation of a case initiated by preacher Osofo Appiah, also referred to as Osofo Biblical. The court has rejected earlier attempts to dismiss the case and now expects Agradaa to begin her defence.

According to the complaint, the man behind the suit claims that individuals closely linked to Agradaa assaulted him. He also alleges that Agradaa played a major role in broadcasting a compromising video of him involved in a sexual act with a married woman. The video was reportedly aired on Thunder TV, a channel Agradaa previously owned during her time as a spiritualist.

This legal development is unfolding even as Agradaa is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence handed down by a Circuit Court judge. The sentence relates to two counts of defrauding members of her church under false pretences. Additionally, she was fined for a separate charge involving deceptive spiritual advertisements, with a one-month sentence attached in case of non-payment.

The original conviction stemmed from a widely televised claim she made in 2022, where she convinced congregants at her Weija-based church that she could multiply their money. Those who attended her all-night church event were persuaded to hand over their cash with the belief it would be supernaturally doubled.

Before her sentencing in that case, Agradaa was sent for a pregnancy examination to determine her condition. The judge overseeing the trial concluded that she had deliberately orchestrated the scheme with no signs of remorse, and imposed a custodial sentence with hard labour.

Now, even while incarcerated, Agradaa must return to court yet again as another chapter in her controversial public life unfolds. The next hearing, set for July 30, could determine her fate in this fresh legal battle involving privacy violations and alleged broadcast misconduct.
