Former District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) Administrator, Irene Naa Torshie Addo, has launched a high-profile push in support of Kennedy Agyapong’s bid to become the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer.
Campaigning in the Central Region, Naa Torshie encouraged party delegates to back the former Assin Central legislator, claiming that voters across the country would rally behind the NPP if he is chosen. She emphasized that regional loyalty and youth appeal make Agyapong the ideal candidate.
According to Naa Torshie, voters have already expressed their preference for Kennedy Agyapong, suggesting that delegates risk criticism if they fail to support him. She also highlighted that Agyapong has qualities that resonate with younger voters, positioning him as a strong contender against the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate.
The former DACF Administrator painted a vivid comparison, indicating that Agyapong’s presence, confidence, and modern style could make him more appealing to Gen Z voters than his political rivals. Her comments underscore the growing focus on youth engagement and image in the NPP’s upcoming flagbearer contest.
With endorsements like this making waves, Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign in the Central Region is gaining momentum, setting the stage for a heated internal battle within the NPP.
