The family of the late highlife icon Daddy Lumba has cautioned media personality Appiah Kubi, popularly known as Roman Fada, to desist from portraying himself as the manager of the deceased musician or risk legal consequences.
In a statement signed by the singer’s elder sister, Ernestina Brempomaah Fosuh, and his wife, Akosua Serwaa Fosuh, the family explained that all official ties between Roman Fada and the late artiste had been severed before his passing.
The family indicated that despite the terminated working relationship, Roman Fada continues to give the impression that he still represents the late musician, leading members of the public to rely on him for funeral-related details and other sensitive matters. They described this as misleading and problematic.
They stressed that if the situation persists, they will take steps to stop him from presenting himself in that role.
According to the family, any updates concerning the funeral or personal issues relating to the late musician should only come from authorised relatives, and not from individuals whose association with him had officially ended before his death.
