Ghanaian rapper Dadie Opanka has publicly expressed his readiness to take up a role in President John Dramani Mahama’s administration, saying he would consider it an honour to serve if given the opportunity.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, the artiste said he is open to working with the current government, particularly in a financial advisory capacity, as he continues his professional training.

“Why not? I am willing and ever ready to work because it would be an honour. I only wish it would come to pass. President Mahama, since I am currently studying to become a financial adviser, I believe I can work under your government,” he averred.

Apart from his willingness to serve, Dadie Opanka praised President Mahama’s economic performance, crediting the administration with easing the cost of living within its first year in office.

He stressed that his remarks were not driven by party loyalty, noting that he does not align himself with any political group and assesses governments based on performance rather than affiliation.

“I must say he has done very well in his first year in office. I will rate him a 7 out of 10. I am not an NPP or an NDC supporter. I will support any political party that performs well when in office. So, if this were the NPP, I would have also applauded them,” Opanka stated.
